RÉTABLISSEMENT

Recovery is a process of healing and growth that people with mental health problems go through as they strive to live a satisfying and fulfilling life despite the limitations caused by their condition(s) and symptoms. It is a deeply personal and unique journey for each person. Being in recovery means learning to regain control over one’s health and life, maintain a hopeful view of the future, and focus on personal strengths that can help achieve one’s full potential.

From a health system perspective, clinical practices and mental health services can be considered “recovery-oriented” when they support a person in their recovery journey. This approach to care and service delivery recognizes that each person has unique needs, goals and preferences and that they have a right to determine their own path toward mental health and well-being.

The REMIX Lab is dedicated to working with health system partners to strengthen their ability to support the personal recovery of people experiencing mental health problems.
