Why?

Common mental disorders, such as depression and anxiety, affect over 20% of the population and are the leading cause of disability. Although most care for common mental disorders is provided as part of primary care, many people have difficulty accessing this care. This is particularly true for people with multiple vulnerabilities (due to age, gender, ethnic origin, income level, etc.). These overlapping inequalities of access can have significant negative consequences on the experience of care and health outcomes.
