Matthew Menear

Hi, my name is Matthew. I am the founder and director of REMIX Lab.

 

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Laval University and a regular researcher at VITAM Centre for Sustainable Health Research.

 

My research aims to improve the quality and organization of mental health care and services so that these services are more accessible, integrated, person-centered, and recovery-oriented.

 

My interests : Cooking, traveling, and sports

Chani Bonventre

With a master's degree in anthropology, my primary research interests lie in the fields of health and science. I approach these topics through qualitative and ethnographic research methods. Within the Remix team, my main role is to contribute to the SOUTIEN-SM1 project .

 

My interests : Science fiction, popular science, dance, and visual arts.

Alex Côté Asselin

With a bachelor's degree in psychology, a bachelor's degree in translation, and a master's degree in sexology, I am passionate about intersectoral research that is accessible and community-engaged. As part of the REMIX team, I support the scientific focus of the Collaborative Network on Interprofessional Practices in Health and Social Services (RCPI).

Léa Gibson

Passionate about accessibility and health education, I aspire to innovate in the healthcare sector to optimize patient services. I completed a bachelor's degree in sociology with an international focus at Université Laval. I then went to Portugal to pursue a master's degree in impact entrepreneurship and innovation, specializing in healthcare innovation. I am involved in the SOUTIEN-SM1 project to learn how to mobilize the necessary knowledge to innovate concretely in the field of primary mental health care.

Elizabeth Anderson

As a doctoral student in psychology (Research and Intervention) at Laval University, I work under the supervision of Caroline Cellard and Matthew Menear. My research interests focus on the cognitive well-being of young people who have experienced maltreatment, as well as on clinical neuropsychology.

I have been a doctoral student in work and organizational psychology at the University of Sherbrooke since September 2023. I am particularly interested in measurement tools and their psychometric properties, psychological health at work, personnel selection and later, I aspire to give lectures or training workshops in companies.

Jessica Talon-Croteau

With a doctorate in psychology and a professional background, I have practiced neuropsychology for over eight years in a child and adolescent psychiatry clinic. I am now returning to my studies to complete a research-oriented Ph.D. in psychology. My research interests include mental health literacy and the development of neuroeducational tools tailored to the needs of the population.

I have been a social worker since 1987, recently retired from the health and social services network, and am currently a doctoral student in social work.

My project aims to study an interprofessional intervention for managing work stoppages due to a common mental health disorder, called STAT-C.

I am a midwife passionate about the mental health of women and mothers. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at Laval University, I specialize in the care experiences of women affected by perinatal depression. I work with a community organization, providing postnatal support and psychological counseling.

I am a medical doctoral student and a master's student in public health at Laval University. I have a strong interest in psychiatry and social justice. During my master's program, I am focusing on the perspectives of family physicians and psychiatrists on access to mental health care.

Marjorie Brochu

I am a doctoral student in psychology (research and intervention, clinical neuropsychology) at Université Laval, under the supervision of Caroline Cellard and Matthew Menear. My research interests focus on the transition to adulthood, mental health recovery, and open-air services. I have been fortunate to be part of the Remix team for several years. I primarily work on the USIP project, the COVID-Care Experiences project, and recovery-oriented training programs.

My commitment to supporting individuals' mental health has led me to complete a doctorate in clinical psychology (Ph.D.) at Laval University. Within the team, I am involved in the USIP project .

Thomas Prévèreau

I aspire to be a clinical psychologist in the public healthcare system, so humanizing care and evidence-based practices are very important to me. It was therefore a natural fit for me to join the Laboratory team to study the implementation of the Quebec Program for Mental Disorders (PQPTM) in order to observe this promising program more closely, but also to better understand the healthcare system and how it works. I am also interested in gerontological psychology and I even live in a retirement residence as part of an intergenerational cohabitation project.

Sabrina Royer

Having been a registered nurse for several years, I initially worked in a community pharmacy. My career path led me to explore the realities of community health and the challenges of access to care for people living in vulnerable situations. I also deepened my understanding of issues related to social justice and harm reduction. I am now pursuing a professional master's degree in nursing at Université Laval, with the goal of contributing to inclusive approaches to healthcare.
