Here, ideas come to life through a multitude of projects driven by curiosity and teamwork.
Presentation on self-care at the VITAM 2026 Student Scientific Day
On May 8th, Laval University hosted the student research day ‘AI: Towards Informed Collaboration’, organised by VITAM. Thomas Prévèreau, a PhD student in psychology, took part in the poster presentation session to discuss the barriers and facilitators to the implementation of self-care for common mental health conditions.
This is a complex subject, which Thomas skilfully unravelled by drawing on research data that the REMIX team has been collecting for several months through a participatory action research project in three regions of Quebec.
This initiative is aligned with the Quebec Mental Health Programme (PQPTM). Launched in Quebec in 2019, the PQPTM aims to improve the provision of clinical services for people experiencing mental health issues, in particular through the implementation of self-care in primary care settings.
Thomas’s poster is available right here.
