Team Director
Hi, my name is Matthew. I'm the founder and director of the REMIX Lab.
I'm an assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine at Université Laval and a regular researcher at VITAM Centre de recherche en santé durable.
My research aims to improve the quality and organization of mental health care and services so that they are more accessible, integrated, person-centered and recovery-oriented.

With a keen interest in qualitative research, I began studying anthropology. I am particularly interested in issues of inequity related to the delivery of health services to marginalized populations, from an intersectional perspective. The main projects to which I contribute are : COVID-Expériences, Cogestion, OSCAR and PQPTM-GMF.

With a master's degree in anthropology, my main interests lie in the fields of health and science. I approach these themes using qualitative and ethnographic research methods. As part of the Remix team, my main role is to contribute to the PQPTM-GMF project.

Alex Côté Asselin
With a bachelor's degree in psychology, a bachelor's degree in translation and a master's degree in sexology, I'm driven by intersectoral research, accessible and committed to the community. As a member of the REMIX team, I support the scientific axis of the Réseau de collaboration sur les pratiques interprofessionnelles en santé et services sociaux (RCPI).

A doctoral student in psychology (Research and Intervention) at Université Laval, I work under the supervision of Caroline Cellard and Matthew Menear. My research interests focus on the cognitive well-being of young people who have experienced maltreatment, and on clinical neuropsychology.

Doctoral student in Occupational and Organizational Psychology at the Université de Sherbrooke since September 2023. I'm particularly interested in measurement tools and their psychometric properties, psychological health in the workplace, personnel selection and, later on, I aspire to give conferences or training workshops in companies.

With a doctorate in psychology, I have been practicing neuropsychology for over 8 years in a child psychiatry clinic. I'm now back at school to complete a Ph.D. in psychology. I'm interested in literacy issues in mental health and the development of neuroeducational tools centered on the needs of the population.

I have been a social worker since 1987, have recently retired from the health and social services network and am currently a doctoral student in social work.
My project aims to study an interprofessional intervention for managing work stoppages for a common mental health disorder, entitled STAT-C.

I'm a midwife with a passion for women's and mothers' mental health. Currently a Master's student in Clinical and Biomedical Sciences at Université Laval, I specialize in the care experiences of women affected by perinatal depression. I work with a community organization, offering post-natal accompaniment and psychological support.

Currently enrolled in a master's program in environmental law at Université Laval, I'm focusing on the agro-ecological transition in France and Quebec as part of my master's research project. I am mainly involved in the COVID-Experiences and Cogestion projects.

Thomas Prévèreau
I aspire to be a clinical psychologist in the public network, so the humanization of care and evidence-based practices are close to my heart. So it was only natural for me to join the Laboratoire team to study the implementation of the Quebec Mental Health Program (PQPTM), in order to observe this promising program up close, but also to gain a better understanding of the healthcare system and how it works. I'm also interested in gerontological psychology, and I'm even a resident in an RPA for an intergenerational cohabitation project.
